Special Tree has a temporary opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our neuro rehabilitation team at our specialty rehabilitation campus in Romulus, Michigan.

THE ROLE:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), as a member of an interdisciplinary care team, assists with appropriate therapeutic intervention under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to maximize the client’s physical functioning.
THE ROLE:
Provides fabulous every day care, every day to clients and other customers.
Implements portions of a client’s Physical Therapy program including modalities, gait training, therapeutic exercise and transfer training after the treatment program is established by the Physical Therapist.
Modifies treatment programs as needed and progresses clients as tolerated based on observation and in consultation with the Physical Therapist.
Assists the Physical Therapist directly in administering tests and assessment procedures.
Observes and documents the client’s responses to treatment.
Provides client, family, and staff education and training as needed and documents appropriately.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy is required.
Valid Michigan driver’s license.
Demonstrates good moral character.
CPR certified.
Prefer 1 year experience with variety of clients.
Must be of good moral character.
Knowledge of Physical Therapy treatments and assistive techniques.
